DietID: Digital Dietary Assessment Toolkit
A React and Clojure-based digital nutrition toolkit using a visual, clinically tested approach to assess diets and generate wellness plans.
Our Approach
1. Discover
We collaborated with DietID stakeholders to uncover the barriers to accurate, scalable dietary assessment. Discovery highlighted inefficiencies in traditional tools and revealed the opportunity for a clinically validated, visual-based approach to diet management.
2. Define
Together, we defined the MVP scope: a digital toolkit that could assess dietary habits quickly and generate personalized health improvement plans. The roadmap emphasized usability, clinical validation, and scalability for real-world adoption.
3. Design
Our team designed a modern platform with an intuitive, visual-first user experience. Technical design included a robust architecture that supported future growth and seamless integration with health systems.
4. Develop
We engineered the MVP using React and Clojure, hosted on AWS. Our development approach ensured a secure, scalable, and high-performing solution aligned with healthcare standards.
5. Delight
The MVP launch empowered clinicians and users with a faster, more effective way to assess and improve diet. The solution delighted stakeholders by proving both clinically effective and operationally efficient, setting the stage for broader impact.

SeeSaw Labs’ work exceeded all of my expectations. They’ve helped us think differently about what it means to define a product, to know what problems to solve, and to understand what a customer needs. When we get into actual development, the success metrics will be around time and budget. In terms of general project evaluation, SeeSaw Labs hit all of their milestones and deliverables on time and with high quality — that in and of itself is great.
We don’t have an internal product team, and SeeSaw has been able to think and innovate for something that started as imaginary. Their ability to put this imagination into a process and create a reality that can be touched has been amazing. Rather than taking orders, they suggest the best options from their perspective to ensure that the output adds value. Other companies do what we want and then come back and say it didn’t work. SeeSaw gives us advice that we choose to accept or set aside.
